There are 2 Z5 paddles, the graphite face version and the composite face version. The graphite version is lighter weight (7.5 to 8.2 ounces) while the fiberglass version weighs 8.4-9.2 ounces making it one of the heaviest paddles available. Lighter paddles are more for control and quicker response time at the net while heavier for more power (less control). The composite face also generates more power over a graphite face but the graphite face has more control. So in summary the Z5 composite paddle is more for a power player while the Z5 graphite is more for a control player that plays more at the net. The difference in price is because graphite cost more than fiberglass for the paddle composition.
