The difference is the core and surface materials, so the weight is also different. The Flight has a Cloud Cell polymer core with a Carbon and diamond frost surface and weighs 7.3 - 7.6 ounces while the Speed has a polymer core and a carbon/fiberglass surface 7.7 - 8.0 ounces. The cloud cell polymer in the flight paddle has a larger cell size to allow for a lighter weight paddle and faster reactions at the net. The diamond frost surface gives a little more grit to the surface resulting in more spin. The Speed II is a nice mix of power and control. A heavier paddle and a fiberglass surface is usually used for more power while a lighter paddle with a graphite (carbon) surface is more for control.
