Indoor Shoes have a soft gum rubber sole that grip to a gym/basketball court surface while outdoor shoes have a harder rubber sole so they are more durable on outdoor textured courts like pickleball/tennis. You can use and indoor court shoe outdoors but the sole will wear out much faster. On average indoor shoes tend to weigh less than outdoor shoes. Using an outdoor shoe on a indoor surface would result in noticeably less traction on the court and most indoor courts will say only "non marking" shoes which means no outdoor court shoes.
