When most pickleball paddles are manufactured there is some variability that results in a weight range (the variability doesn't allow for a .1 ounce range outcome). In the case of the Omega Evolution Pro paddle the range is 8.0 to 8.3 ounces. You can request a specific weight by calling us at 518-438-3935 M-F 9am to 5pm ET, or when you place an order respond to the confirmation email with your weight request. In your specific case the low end of the weight range is 8.0 ounces which will probably still feel heavy to you. There will be a few more Omega paddles (Omega Evolution Extreme & Extreme X - Weight: 7.4 - 7.7 oz (1/2 inch core versions), 7.8 - 8.1 oz (5/8 inch coreversions) coming out next week (August 2022) which will have lower weights available.
