The JOOLA Ben John's Hyperion CAS 16 Pickleball Paddle core utilizes a multi-step, abrasion sand-blasted process, creating a unique, textured surface for increased spin. The 16mm core absorbs more power at the net for less vibration vs a thinner core paddle. The face is made from a blend of fiberglass and carbon to achieve a balance between power and control.

The Hyperion Series features JOOLA's unique Aero Curve top that results in less drag for a faster swing speed.

JOOLA Pickleball Paddle CORE Materials Explained - JOOLA has 2 different paddle surfaces available, each designed to meet a specific playing style.

    • REACTIVE Honeycomb Polymer Core - Specially tuned for the high-level player to maximize the consistency of the bounce and feel necessary for every shot.

JOOLA Pickleball Paddle Surface Tech Explained - JOOLA has 5 different paddle surfaces available, each designed to meet a specific playing style.

    • Carbon Grip Surface (CGS) - JOOLA's CGS technology utilizes a durable, long-lasting Carbon-Flex 3 textured surface that grips the ball to create more spin.
    • Fiberglass Abrasion Surface (FAS) - JOOLA's FAS technology utilizes a multi-step, abrasion sand-blasted process, creating a unique fiberglass textured surface for increased spin.
    • Carbon Abrasion Surface (CAS) - JOOLA's CAS technology utilizes a multi-step, abrasion sand-blasted process, creating a unique, textured surface for increased spin.
    • Carbon Friction Surface (CFS) - JOOLA's CFS technology utilizes a more advanced, durable, longer lasting Carbon-Flex 5 textured surface, harnessing raw power while providing maximum spin.

    Excellent paddle

I really like the paddle. It provides excellent control and decent pop. Allows for a great deal of spin. Feels very solid and comfortable - although a bit on the heavy side.

Meh. 1. Too lightweight. (Yes, weight can be added, but i must be doing it wrong because when I've attempted it in the past it feels unbalanced. Seems like for me effective weight needs to be within the whole paddle & handle not just in the edges) Do the pros like to keep the weight they use close to the vest? I wonder if most of them are using paddles close to 9? Can't get the speed they get without a bit more weight. I wish they were more forthcoming about this issue and built paddles for us to choose our max weight. Since very few of us will ever be good enough to threaten them in the least why the secret? For the rest of us it's so fun to play our best at whatever level. Little satisfying pop. Feels kinda dead in comparison to my Simone Jardim etc. paddles. Where's the sweet spot? I know it was developed to be longer lasting but some of the fun (for us sweet spot pop lovers) is missing when it has more like a clunk spot. By taking away some from corners, took away hitting surface. Why? I need every bit of surface i can get😁 Beautiful color though... Like his Franklin way better. Wish i could return and try the heavier black version... Twice weekly 3.0-3.5 player but sure wish i could play more often.
