I have been a dedicated PB player for years. I went to the Solaire 14 and have found this racket to have a great touch around the kitchen. The feel and sound of the ball off the Carbon Friction Surface is impeccable, in my opinion. Furthermore, it also allows me to put great top and backhand spinners that dive over the net when opponents have the front court advantage. My play is control and consistency, and the Solaire 14 has definitely increased my capabilities and my confidence. Another bonus is this is the best grip I’ve ever had on a PB racket - definitely no need for grip tape! I am not sure this would be a great fit for a pounder, but if you desire more “feeling” yet not give up on the power grid, I would encourage you to test drive the Solaire 14
