I'm bought a Prince Spectrum Pro pickleball paddle for myself from Amazon, picking up a used one for a discounted price.
As soon as I got it, my wife said she wanted one for herself. Then came to Mother's Day, and I knew what to get.
I found the paddle at Pickleball Galaxy, at the same price it was being offered at Amazon. But Pickleball Galaxy also threw in a case for the paddle that Amazon did not offer. I was able to buy this paddle used at a $40 discount. It arrived promptly and looked brand new. I was torn between the Spectrum Pro and the Response Pro where many players seemed to favor the Response paddle because of its longer handle and shorter head making it easier to move quickly, but after playing with the Spectrum I have found that I'm still able to move it quickly when volleying and I like the extra space on the paddle face.
I mainly bought it for the many reviews about its superior sweet spot, and it has not disappointed. It often feels as if I've barely touched the ball when I give it a solid hit. It's really helped alleviate my pickleball elbow (which I didn't expect!) and has easily become the favorite paddle I've ever played with.
