The Engage Encore MX paddle comes in 2 grip sizes. 4 1/8 inch and 4 3/8 inches. If you have smaller hands or just prefer a smaller grip you would choose the 4 1/8 inch grip. You can always make a grip larger by using an overwrap grip to build up the size that feels best to you but you can't make a grip smaller.
If you are referring to the grip upgrade options the Python and Head Tackimac grips are rubber grips like used in racquetball. Rubber grips don't wear as much as the traditional tennis type grip and should last the life of the paddle. Rubber grips do require you to wear a leather pickleball glove to get the best grip between your hand and the paddle (more solid than the tennis style grip).
