It sounds like you have smaller hands, in that case, I would go with the smaller option. Another way to see which grip size is best for you is to use the size of glove you wear. If you wear medium or smaller, you should choose the smaller grip. If you wear a large or bigger glove you should choose the larger grip. You can always make your grip a bit larger by using an overwrap grip. Each wrap around the paddle adds about 1/16"
